Description / Overview: This Oahu waterfalls hiking tour includes a shuttle from your Waikiki hotel to the Rainforest Manoa Waterfalls with round-trip service. The driver provides you with a bottle of water, walking sticks, and some bug spray. The beginning of the trail crosses over a footbridge and then crosses a small stream through a grove of Eucalyptus trees, the trail gradually ascends through a lush rainforest ending at a viewing area set back from the base of the falls. Another factor that makes the Manoa Falls trail a favorite hiking destination for many, is the 150-ft. (46 m) waterfall that awaits after a relatively easy 45-minute walk up the mountain! The water cascades down from the mountain into a small pool at the end of the waterfall, creating a perfect background for pictures!
Trail Conditions: Manoa Falls is located in a beautiful lush valley and hikers may often experience rainy weather. The trail is not paved, but is covered in stones. Some parts might get a little muddy or slippery, adding extra excitement on your adventure, but don’t worry! We provide walking sticks for extra support. Ponchos are also available for purchase with your driver. Expect some sections with stairs and a few parts where you have to climb up over boulders.
Inclusions: Round-trip transportation from Waikiki, walking sticks, bug spray, and a bottle of water.
What to Bring & What to Wear: You can wear sneakers and comfortable clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting muddy.
Additional Information: In case of there being rain we have ponchos for purchase for $5. At the hike, there are snacks at the gift shop and that is where the bathrooms are located as well.
Pro Tip: Even though it looks inviting, it is not recommended to swim in it because of the many risks of rock sliding/falling, which have occurred in this area. Also, it isn’t safe to drink the water because of leptospirosis contamination.
