Enjoy the easiest way to reach the Makapu‘u Point Trail with our shuttle pickups from Waikiki, perfect for a self-guided hike with breathtaking views of Oahu’s southeastern coastline, including Koko Head Crater, Rabbit Island, and the Pacific Ocean. Stop at the famous Halona Blowhole for photos along the way.

This tour includes round-trip shuttle service—please do not book if you do not need the shuttle.

Description / Overview: 

Take a shuttle from Waikiki to the beautiful Makapu‘u Lighthouse Trail for a self-guided hike with stunning views of Oahu’s windward coastline. On a clear day, you may even spot Moloka‘i and Lana‘i islands. Don’t forget to snap photos of the historic lighthouse, and from November through April, watch for humpback whales, one of the island’s best whale-watching spots.

During the tour, you’ll also stop at the Halona Blowhole, a scenic coastal landmark where waves crash into the rocks and spray water high into the air—perfect for memorable photos. Throughout the tour, enjoy several other photo opportunities as you travel along the coastline.

Inclusions: Round-trip transportation from Waikiki and a bottle of water.

As a courtesy reminder please do not eat food in our shuttle and/or bring any drinks to be consumed inside.

What to Bring & What to Wear: Wear sneakers and comfortable clothes, bring a hat, and sunscreen, and drink lots of water. Don’t forget your camera and bring your binoculars along if you have them!

Any changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 HOURS before your scheduled reservation. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your tour will be charged 100% of the total amount to your credit card.
