Is giving a tip (gratuity) required?

Gratuity is never required but if you enjoyed your experience, a tip is always greatly appreciated!

Can I bring my own snacks and drinks?

Yes. Water is provided for Diamond Head and Makapu'u Lighthouse tours only, and it's always a good idea to have extra food on hand.

How do I reserve a tour?

To reserve, please email us at kaimanatours@gmail.com to request more information or to book a tour for a specific date. You can also fill out the online reservation form HERE

How do I pay?

Reservations must be held with a credit card. For other payment options, please call Kaimana Tours at (808) 392-2223 or (808) 230-0023.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled tour, you will be charged the full price. To cancel, please call Kaimana Tours at (808) 392-2223 or (808) 230-0023.

Where do you pick us up?

Pick-ups are available at multiple Waikiki locations. Pick-ups are also available at the Kahala Hotel for an additional fee. Please call Kaimana Tours at (808) 392-2223 or (808) 230-0023 for exact locations.


Makapu'u Lighthouse Hike:

What should I wear to this activity?

For the Makapu'u Lighthouse trip, wear comfortable clothing suitable for hiking and closed-toed shoes.

Is this activity suitable for children?

Yes, definitely, it's a dry hike to a lighthouse overlooking the East Oahu coast.

Can I bring my own snacks and drinks?

Yes, but water is provided for you.


Diamond Head Crater Hike:

What should I wear to this activity?

For hiking Diamond Head, wear comfortable clothing suitable for hiking stairs and tennis shoes.

Can I bring my own snacks and drinks?

Yes. Water is provided for you on this hike, but we always recommend bringing extra supplies.

Is this activity suitable for children?

Yes, definitely, its an easy hiking adventure.


Hanauma Bay Snorkeling Tour:

What should I wear to this activity?

Wear your bathing suit when you go to Hanauma Bay for snorkeling.

Why isn't the admission price to Hanauma Bay included in the tour cost?

Admission is collected on location by the State of Hawaii and all proceeds go toward the upkeep of Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.

Is this a guided tour?

No, this is a self-guided tour and you will not have a guide with you.

Do I need to be able to swim to participate?

No, this is mainly a shuttle transport and snorkel equipment rental service. Please be careful and take any responsible precautions if you are not a strong swimmer.

Are prescription snorkeling masks available?

Yes, they are available, but cost an additional fee to be paid upon check-in. Please indicate during booking so we can secure your arrangements.


Combo Packages:

Can we schedule our Hanauma Bay and Diamond Head shuttles on different days?

No, the combo pricing is only for activities booked for the same day.

What should I wear to this activity?

For hiking tours, wear comfortable clothing suitable for hiking stairs and closed-toed shoes.

Can I bring my own snacks and drinks?

Yes. Water is provided for you on the hikes, but we always recommend bringing extra supplies.

Is this activity suitable for children?

All of our activities are suitable for children. The hikes are easy to moderate, with clearly defined paths. The snorkeling trip is great for good swimmers, but there is also a large beach for those who don't swim.

What else should I bring?

It is recommended that you bring head protection to protect your head from sun damage, and always wear sunscreen.
